Despite what some other blogs claim restoring my jailbroken/unlocked 1st generation iPhone with 3.0 software did result in it being re-locked to AT&T making it impossible to use my China Mobile GoTone SIM. Activation with iTunes would only work with the original AT&T sim and did not work with a 3 Hong Kong SIM despite 3HK being an official iPhone carrier.
