The future of memories is here and it's spatial

“The future is already here – it's just not evenly distributed.”
-William Gibson

I have an infant son and have been taking spatial photos and video of him since his birth (and previously during the pregnancy) so that I can view them on Apple Vision Pro.

It's really hard express the intense emotional feeling I feel when look back at spatial photos and videos from just a few months ago when he was so tiny and had just entered the world. View spatial photos on Vision Pro in 3D is so much different than looking at photo on a two dimensional screen or print. It feels like I can reach out and touch my minutes or days old son like I'm back in the delivery room experiencing his birth one more time. Viewing spatial photos and videos on Vision Pro is the absolute best way on planet earth to relive memories.

Vision Pro + spatial photos and videos is one of those technologies that will be absolutely everywhere in the future but that because of the cost and complexity, only a very few people have experienced today. It's very similar to automonous cars today. There are cars today that can drive themselves. But, even now, most people don't really believe it until they experience it themselves. Similarly, you can record precious moments in your life today and relive them tomorrow exactly as you saw and heard them and most people have no idea.
